Nostalgia

Back in the day I lived near and swam at the Spring Hill Baths. Seems it's still a bit of an inner city secret; this Christmas Eve morn I shared its quaint peace with just one other human. Happy times in Bris Vegas!

FROM THE BOTTOM UP a 3min documentary I wrote & directed, is a Semi-Finalist in the FOCUS FORWARD Filmmaker Competition. It's a snapshot of economist and social entrepreneur Simon Griffiths' mission to end global poverty with every wipe, from the bottom up!

New Digs

Amid juggling a few freelance jobs, I've moved in to a lovely warehouse studio space in Fitzroy. A fitness prerequisite applies if you want to come visit me; there's EIGHT invigorating flights of stairs! The rewards up high are a nice climate, hot air balloons passing the windows on early mornings, and some lovely studio companions - of various design and film persuasions.

In a slightly tenuous segue-way, let me plug and introduce Madeleine Cocolas' blog 52 Weeks. Madeleine is a dear friend and very talented music supervisor and composer. She recently left her beloved role at Level Two Music to relocate with her man-friend to Seattle. Hence her ex-pat blog of off-shore musical work. It will be a delight to the ears each week! Great idea Madeleine!
